Sul Sul!
Sadly, the Desperanza Apocalypse ended all too soon.
I was not careful enough...
... and the rules are just too harsh.
Plus, in the Apocalypses before,
culinary and paranormal were always the first restrictions I managed to lift,
so I didn't have the problem of starved ghosts haunting the house...
But here is the story of Adam Apoca,
last in the line...
Adam Apoca
was a Fortune sim with the lifetime want to have 6 pets reach the top of their career.
His star sign was capricorn, he was neat and shy,
extremely lazy, extremely playful and extremely nice.
He was turned on by any woman who could cook and clean,
but was turned off by brown hair (too boring).
Adam was born as only child to Hope Apoca, the Apocalypse founder,
and her husband Colin Philips.
Growing up in post-apocalypse was not easy...
When he became an adult, he broke down.
He soooo much had wanted to go to that magical place
his parents kept calling "college".
But now, they told him, he was too old...
and that such a place was nonexistent in his world anymore.
When he recovered from the depression,
and accepted his fate,
Adam decided to join the military with fighting the zombies.
Soon hereafter, his mother died.
She had starved to death.
One of the good things about fighting the zombies were the pretty colleagues.
Then one day Adams father starved as well.
THIS IS AS FAR AS WE'VE KNOWN.
Now Adam was literally the only man here.
Alone in this world, he struggled to go on.
The only people he trusted were his colleagues from the zombie fighting squad.
The only day his dark thoughts eased down a little was Tuesday,
when he got to play his favorite game
(thanks to his mother who had brought electricity back to the land),
and call his female acquaintances from work.
Until it dawned upon him that he could also use that "internet" thing for
LOOKING FOR A JOB!
And as luck would have it,
they were looking for dishwashers at the burger place.
It was not glamorous,
but Adam knew the burger place was a job with a future.
What people needed most of all in this world,
was good food.
And Adam would be the one to bring it to them.
As soon as he had convinced everybody he was worth more than a dishwasher.
Although Adam had never tasted another thing in his life than ready-meals,
he intuited from his parent's tales that there were many, many more delicacies to life.
Watching the cooking channel was a good start.
Adam felt like he was finally doing something productive with his life.
He was full of hope.
His mother, Hope, kept haunting the house.
Her starved soul could not find rest even in death.
Adam kept writing down everything he heard about food and it's preparation.
His efforts at work were highly appreciated and soon he was shift manager.
Work was even fun to him.
The only downside was the dirt and grease that could never be fully washed off,
and the sink that kept breaking.
Watching the cooking channel became a frequent pastime.
Sometimes he had people over from work...
He wanted to have a car of his own, so he bought some old junk and got working on it.
His culinary abilities had meanwhile bought him a job at a more distinct place,
where food other than just burgers was being prepared.
Adam felt good about life, but life began to run too fast.
He decided to slow down the aging process by trying that
strange elixir his mother had brought with her from that amazing "college" place.
In his free time, he kept working on the car.
His relationship with that girl from work seemed to get promising...
But then...
one day there suddenly were vermin in the house. Uggggghhhh!
How disgusting! Adam shouldn't have left that trash just outside the doorstep.
But now it was too late. Adam kept spraying them, but he was already coughing hard.
He was with a serious flu.
A sick sim in midst of the Apocalypse has little chance to survive,
because comfort is hard to seek.
And even more so,
if you have two starved ghosts haunting the house.
The ghosts and the illness combined to his death...
... it was so soon I couldn't even take a proper picture,
I was too shocked.
R.I.P. Adam Apoca
...
you were good and you tried hard.
You could have really turned things around,
if only you hadn't left that trash...
Oh well, nothing to do about that now.
You will be missed...
And so it ends...
there might be a new Apocalypse once I've recovered from this one...
... just wait...
