Note:
I only added the "Pets" expansion after starting this challenge,
so I decided to completely ignore the pets for the whole of the challenge.
Pets rules do not apply. although you might sometimes see a stray strolling past the lot.

In this humble shelter in the devastated SimCity region,
there currently lives the 8th and 9th generation of the Apoca family, which has made great efforts to better life for all us people in the region. The family name is a legend.
Family founder Apollo Apoca was a knowledge sim who studied biology at a college far away from SimCity when the Apocalypse stroke here. He fell in love with Sunny Allbee, who at that time was a cheerleader. Back in Apocalypse Land SimCity, Apollo took a job in Medicine. As he had studied "Lifelong Happiness" in college, he conserved his happiness, good mood and optimistic approach to life from college throughout all his life. He became Chief of Staff [and thus lifted Medical], fulfilling his Lifetime Want with it.
He then married Sunny Allbee, which was a good choice:
Sunny Allbee, a cheerleader from college, came with maximum body skill and a psychology major. She was a family sim and her biggest wish was to have a child with Apollo. After raising their daughter Hope, Sunny took a job in Paranormal and became a Cult Leader [thus lifting Paranormal].
Apollos and Sunnys daughter Hope Apoca was a family sim like her mother. Her dream was to bring good food back to the people, the food she had heard her parents talking about. But she could not keep her job in Culinary when she got pregnant by her husband Waylon Menon (who at that time was a waiter). She had met him at the job. Hope spent her life then raising their twins Forte and Solace.
Waylon Menon was a fortune sim and joined the family through marriage to Hope Apoca. He became a Celebrity Chef [lifting Culinary].
The third generation was a failure, talking about rebuilding the apocalyptic world they lived in. They "only" brought forth the 4th generation. All of the third generation were too weak from the radiation to fight for themselves as elders on the unsafe streets.
Forte Apoca was a male knowledge sim who wanted to be a Criminal Mastermind, but took a job in Music, which he quit when he was an elder.
His sister Solace Apoca was a family sim with the Lifetime Want to be Education Minister. She married Jason Menon and the two of them had the kids Aurora and Luz. Solace took a job in EDucation after Aurora became a teenager, but had to quit after she herself grew an elder.
Jason Menon was a fortune sim who wanted to be a Business Tycoon. He joined the family through marriage to Solace Apoca. He had a job in Law, but got fired because of a bad decision taken. That was shortly before becoming an elder, and he was too weak anyway to get a new job.
The fourth generation was successful.
Aurora Apoca was a family sim who wanted to become Captain Hero. She even managed to get a job in Law Enforcement and reach her Lifetime Want. She became Captain Hero [lifting Law Enforcement]. As an elder, Aurora caused some scandal in the family. She found late romance with her work buddy Goopy GilsCarbo, but they never married. Later she romanced Abhijeet Deppiesse, who afterwards became the husband of her niece. Quel scandal!
Luz Apoca was a male pleasure sim who wanted to have 50 first dates. Of course he didn't, but married Marisa Bennett, who at that time was a Counter Intelligence in the Military and came with great body skills. Together they had the daughter Grace. Luz Apoca also maxed his body skill. He work in Law and became The Law [lifting Law].
Marisa Bennett was a fortune sim who joined the family marrying Luz Apoca and was envious of her husband because SHE wanted to be The Law. She worked in Military and became General [lifting Military]. Together with Luz she had the daughter Grace.
Grace Apoca was the single daughter of Luz Apoca and Marisa Bennett. She was a knowledge sim who wanted to max all her skills. She learned Lifelong Happiness, but was grounded when she found out she would never have the opportunity to go to that magical place the old books talked about as "college". She then dedicated her life to home study and to her family with Abhijeet Deppiesse, who had before romanced her aunt Aurora. Grace and Abhijeet had the twins Alex and Roxy, and little daughter Ayla. Grace took a job in the Slacker career after Ayla became a teen, but died before she could reach the top.
As his scandalous romances suggest, Abhijeet Deppiesse was a romance sim. His Lifetime WAnt was to be a Hall of Famer. When he married Grace, he was a work colleague of her aunt Aurora as a Captain Hero. He changed his well-paying job and took a job in Science, but lost it because he took the red licorice. He later took a job in Entertainment and became Prestidigitator [lifting Entertainment]. He had learned Lifelong Happiness and was always very happy.
And how not to be, having a happy and successful family?
Their kids fared very well in the post-apocalyptic world.
Alex Apoca was a popularity sim who wanted to be Captain Hero. He found a job in Science and became Mad Scientist [lifting Science]. He learned Lifelong Happiness and was a happy dude.
Roxy Apoca was a knowledge sim who wanted to be Head of the SCIA. She learned Lifelong Happiness. She married Renaud Pearson and they had the twins Ruben and Robin. Roxy found a job in Journalism, but was fired because of the principal's toilet photo. She then found a job in Politics when the kids were teens and became Mayor of SimCity [lifting Politics].
Ayla Apoca, the little sister, was a romance sim who wanted to be Rock God. She even found a job in Music and became a Rock God [lifting Music], fulfilling her Lifetime Want. As she had also learned Lifelong Happiness, she kept feeling elated all her life.
Renaud Pearson was a family sim with the Lifetime Want to reach the Golden Anniversary. He joined the family by marrying Roxy Apoca. The two had the twins Ruben and Robin. Renaud learned Lifelong Happiness as well. When he joined the family he was a Getaway Driver for the local Criminal mob. He made his way to Cat Burglar, but it was very hard for him to aument his body skill, because he was too playful to practice yoga. He decided to leave his criminal ways and change his job to Slacker, which was the best decision he could take. He became a Professional Party Guest [lifting Slacker].
Ruben Apoca, the first of Roxys and Renaud's twins, was a popularity sim who wanted to become Captain Hero. He learned Lifelong Happiness. He found a job in Gamer and became a Game Designer [lifting Gamer].
Robin Apoca was a family sim with the Lifetime Want to have 6 grandchildren. He learned Lifelong Happiness. He was married to Christy Toyonaga, with whom he had four children: The sons Leo and Knox, and the twins Maddox (male) and Mae (female). Robin found a job in Intelligence and became Head of the SCIA [lifting Intelligence].
Christy Toyonaga was a family sim with the Lifetime Want to become Captain Hero. She joined the family marrying Robin Apoca and was the mother of Leo, Knox, Maddox and Mae. She was a Drive-Through Clerk, but gave up the job to have kids. After Ruben lifted Gamer she took a job in Business and became a Business Tycoon [lifting Business].

Leo Apoca is a fortune sim who wants to become a Criminal Mastermind. He works in Journalism.
Knox Apoca is a knowledge sim who wants to max out all his skills. He works in Education. He is married to Marsha Bruenig, with whom he has the twins Angelina and Uriah.
Maddox Apoca is a pleasure sim with the Lifetime Want to become a Professional Party Guest. He "works" with the Criminal mob.
Mae Apoca is a popularity sim who wants to own 5 top level businesses. She works in Adventure.

Marsha Bruenig is a townie child I aged up with someone from a former generation. Having aged twice up to adult, she joined the family through marriage to Knox Apoca. She is the mother of Angelina and Uriah.
